In my PhD program, I have been involved in a study on impact of information use/flow and documentation in Electronic Health Records (EHR) system on physicians’ workflow, and patient care.  I am also interested in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), especially in cognitive design factors, and usability of Audio-Visual, and Audio-Haptic technologies.  

 

My recent interests include speech perception, sonification, and design of auditory displays, and am currently working on my thesis, in the area of multisensory information integration in design of warning systems, for improving retention, alarm detection (attention), and human performance.
